My name is Kerry Pelesky and these are the top 5 facts you probably don’t know about me.
One: I grew up within sight of the Cumberland Gap in Tennessee and country singer Rodney Atkins was my neighbor.
Two: I was kissed by Colonel Sanders – apparently I was an adorable toddler.
Three: At age 5 I traveled around the world. (not solo – I invited my parents)
Four: I love to travel. Locales currently on the list from my travels as an adult: Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, France, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Dominican Republic, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Grenada. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to add many more.
Five: I blog about homesteading and survival skills from the 1800s to early 1900s and also about pre-prohibition cocktail recipes. If you’d like to visit check out www.lostwitandwisdom.com or www.lostcocktails.com.
And now for the serious stuff…
I started my career as a Visual Communication major from The Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University with a specialty in Infographics. In the intervening 20+ years I’ve worked as a graphic designer, spending the bulk of my career in the newspaper field including The Houston Chronicle and The Plain Dealer. Much of the work that I’ve compiled in my portfolio was from my time at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio.
